using our 7 step build process, lets start your home today!

Step 1: Find a Lot

Finding a lot can be a difficult and time consuming process, so it is always best to let a professional realtor assist with finding the right lot for you! Devin with Keller Williams can help you find that perfect location (see our about us page for Devin's information)

Step 2: Initial consultation on your lot

When building a home, the lay of the land is important to understand when trying to achieve the perfect design of your home!  We recommend meeting on the lot along with our or your architect to initiate the design process and put together a thorough set of plans.

Step 3: Estimating and financing

Once you have a lot and a set of Plans, the next step is to acquire the right financing for your project.   there are multiple approaches and options that are available for building your custom home.  Contact us to find out more about those options and  we also have a preferred lender that can  put you in touch with.  (see our preferred lender on out about us page)

Step 4: Approvals and permitting

As step 3 is underway, this next step can begin as well (knock out 2 birds with one stone).  Every build will require an approval or permit of some sort, while some may require multiple approvals and permits.  It all depends where the construction is occurring (in the city, county, HOA, etc.)  The building experts here at FulStone are able to easily navigate you through this process, carrying most of the burden themselves.

Step 5: Breaking Ground

Finally, the moment you have been waiting for since the process started, to begin the work!  Most people are surprised when they learn that building the home is only half the battle.  A large portion of time/effort in getting your custom home lies in the design, planning, financing and permitting!  But once all that is in line, We hit the ground running with excavation and site work, then foundation and so forth.

Step 6: Building your home

The build time will vary from home to home , but the average build time is 9 to 12 months.  We encourage regular communication with our project manager making daily visits and and hosting a weekly meeting/phone conference for a recap.  It is important to over communicate during the foundation and framing process, so as to not miss anything in the layout/design of the home.  Taking the home from paper (plans) and turning it into a physical structure is not always clean cut, but having a thorough set of plans is crucial ensuring a smoother process.  Our Preferred architect is just a phone call away. (see Macro Design Studio on our "about us" page)

Step 7: Move in

The day has arrived, after all the effort, patience and money, you finally get to move into your uniquely designed dream home!  After a blue tape walk through, we provide a final clean with a top notch cleaning crew, and get your home move in ready.  Once we hand over the keys to you, we don't just disappear.  We stick around with our 1,2,10 year warranty! This warranty package offers peace of mind, allowing you to rest easy knowing that FulStone has your back.
